I am trying to import transport request using shell scripting but i am getting RC12 error .I tried restarting script then first TR went fine and second TR gives RC12.I am getting RC12 for each TR.Please help as i have mass transport levelling to be done.

 

transport log says :  ######################################

what do I have to do after system copy

I wander what do I have to do after system copy.

E.g change the logical system in (transaction scc4)scc4,

change entries related to logical system in tables (transaction bdls),

change RFC(delete the PRD one and create the TEST one back),

create CUA for this  satellite system,

set the TEST system values in WE20 and WE21 transactions),

set transport system so that the new system is TEST....

 

I guess I missed some action or... If so please let me know

SAP Licensing at a self created Web Application

Hi all,

 

please can you tell me which license model fits for a self created web application with its own user store?

 

The user can Login at the Website and if they called a Service, in the Background it will be established a Connection to a SAP System to

get Information.

 

In my Szenario many People can Login to the web application but only one SAP communication user is needed in the SAP System.

 

Can anyone tell me which license is suitable in this case?

Or maybe is it better to handover each user so that each user must be also created in the sap System?

 

Maybe exist a Special license offer in such cases beside the normal SAP Prof. User?

Not able to take dump into excel from webgui login

Dear

as some of user are using webgui for sap login now they are not able to take DUMP in to excel for small report when they login from WEBGUI and normally same dump came  in excel in SAPGUI login

 

if you any suggestion kindly share

LSMW - Creation Project/WBS with BAPI or Idoc

Hi SDN,

 

is there anybody who was succesful in creating Projects and WBS structures with BAPI or Idoc?

 

I tried it with BAPI and the follwing parameters

Business Object  BUS2054
Method           SAVEREPLICA
Message Type     PROJECT
Basic Type       PROJECT01

 

This ends with an error that SAVEREPLICA is not allowed in this context. I should use CREATE, but CREATE can not be entered in the parameters.

 

I tried Idoc with the follwing parameters

 

Message Type     PROJECT
Basic Type       PROJECT01
Enhancement

X Allow Structure Assignment for EDIDC40

 

This finaly terminates with the same error as the BAPI.

 

I would really like to use a standard SAP tool to migrate Projects/WBS-Structures. Was anybody succesful in this and can give a short documentation to the SDN community?

TST_ERROR

Hi everybody, I'm installing a Netweaver 7.3 EHP1 system in Linux with DB2, but when sapinst reaches phase 36 (enable role concept) I get a message like this

 

Last error reported by the step: Execution of the command "/tmp/sapinst_instdir/NW731/INSTALL/NW73/DB6/STD/AS-ABAP/db6_update_db.sh -d BWS -enable_roles" finished with status TST_ERROR

 

I tried to execute the command with root user but I got a message "you should run this with DB owner", I change my user to DB2<SID> and the script ran perfectly

But, how can I solve this problem if root is running sapinst and DB2<SID> have no permissions tu run sapinst?

CPU usage priority between SAP system and database

Hello,

 

Sometimes, we reserve 80% of CPU to SAP system and 40% of CPU to Database system. When the CPU reach it's top utilization which has the priority, the SAP system or the database for the CPU usage.

Web Service not selectable in S_SERVICE

hi guys,

we have created 4 Web services in our development system.

Then I have to craete a role with authorization object S_SERVICE.

The services will be inserted by using F4 help.

But I see only 2 services, two services are missing.

All services are active.

 

What can I do ?

EHP7 upgrade - Error in START_SHDI_SHD2: RFC_LOGON_FAILURE

Dear friends,

 

I am upgrading an ERP 6.0 system to EHP7 and currently facing an issue in the START_SHDI_SHD2 phase. The shadow system is up and running, and I am able to login. But the RFC login to it fails with a short dump in SAPMSSY1 which mentions, "DYNPRO_NOT_FOUND".

 

When I checked in st22, the error is "You are trying to use screen 3004 in program "SAPMSSY1". This screen does not exist."


The current kernel is 742, I tried changing the kernels patch levels , and also tried downgrading it to 741 and 740. Unfortunately, didn't help.

 

Could you please advise, how to correct this error ?

SAP NetWeaver Application Server installation hangs on "Import ABAP"

I am trying to instal SAP NetWeaver Application Server on windows 2008 R2 inside virtual box. In one moment installation stop to advance. There is about 40 minutes and nothing happens. Here is screenshot  and there is nothing change during last 40 min - 1 hour aprox.

I have checked log files(windows event log) and I didn't notice any error.

Windows host name is vtwin2008, so no space and strange chars. I have asigned disk of 120 GB and 2 GB RAM.

Installation file name I have downloaded: ABAP_Trial_7_02_SP11_Win_64_bit_Version_3_387_GB.rar

Any suggestion how to solve the problem and continue with installation?

 

p.s.

I have give another try. Now I have created new virt machine with following characteristics:

4 GB RAM

4 Procesors

120 GB Hard disk

OS: Windows Enterprise Server 2008 R2

Java installed: JDK 1.5

The result is the same:

Hello all

    

I looked in SCN about this topic but I didn’t found anything really appropriate.

    

When running a BW query (from query designer) with standard template from WebApplicationDesigner 3.5 with this link…

What do I have to do to have a similar logon with ‘change password’ option?

 

   

Please notice that we start directly a BW query without being on the portal page. So,
we do not have a ‘personalize’ link.

Hello!

I am using Oracle Linux 6.

I am installing Netweaver EP3, Central Instance.

Sybase DB

 

At 4. Execute (Start Instance) I am getting this error. I have searched for it in many places but with no success. I get an error message "instance SID/dvebmgs00 reached state shutdown after having state starting. Giving up"

SUM SP14 - new start command ??

Hello there,

Has anyone of youevertousethe newSUMSP14??

in the past until SP13 , the SUM was startet with theusersidadm and with with the command

./STARTUP


WithSP14that should be madewith theuser rootanduse the command

./STARTUPConfighostagentSID


Is this right?


i asked because i get this window, when i start the SUM with user root and ./STARTUPConfighostagentSID

Internal Server Error 500 while using SAP Webdispatcher

Hi All,

 

i have installed a SAP Webdispatcher for an ABAP/Java Cluster (two instances). While tesing the SAP Web Application Server for loadbalancing i often getting the following Error-Message:

 

Internal Server Error 500: Web-Dynpro-Application 'UmeAdminApp' has timed out or Web-Dynpro-Application 'Explorer' has timed out.

 

What does the error mean?

Please suggest me how to resolve this error

Install Database in Distributed System

Hi i'm received a error when a i'm try install a database system in distributed system , follow the log : An error occurred while processing option SAP NetWeaver 7.4 Support Release 1 > Oracle > SAP Systems > Application Server Java > Distributed System > Database Instance( Last error reported by the step:SAP system EPQ does not have a central services (SCS) instance.
SOLUTION: For this installation option you first have to install the SCS instance.). You can now:

  • Choose Retry to repeat the current step.  i'm already install SCS instance in Portal aplication machine . Tks
