hi experts,
Has anyone run into the situation where the TAX Groups don't match between the BSEG and BSET tables? If so is there a solution that someone has applied successfully.

Hello everyone,
we have a system composed in this way:
- one DB instance + CI instance
- more AS
We are testing the daily backup using veeam.
When the backup finish there are some problem.
It seems that the servers freeze for a short period and so we receive some DUMP due to broken connectio, some error that the AS don't reah the cerntral lock handler, and there are some broken transaction (transaction SM13).
We have discovered that the problem is due to the snaphot removal and consolidation.
In fact the problem is the snapshot removal/consolidation on vmware. We have tried to do a snapshot and after that to remove it and we have the same behavior.
Do you know if is it possible to solve this problem?
We wish to do a veeam backup daily, but with this problem it is not a good choice.
Thank you in advance for your help.

Hello All,
Reg EWA report I have few clarifications for which I am not able to find a concrete solution, so seeking some expert advise from the community.
Hardware capacity Analysis.
Not getting usage regarding the CPU Utilisation, I am getting info about the number of CPU's CPU info model etc but utilization data I am not getting.
I have checked the note 1309499 - Hardware Capacity Analysis in SAP Services.
All the criterias are fulfilled SAP OScol, SAP Host agent, ST06/OS07 I am able to see all the data.
Attached screen shots from the report
My H/w is IBM Power VM with Shared processor LPAR as per the above note, it says PUA should be enabled for my machine type, but strange thing is for the other SAP server of the same H/w specs I am getting the CPU util data in H/w capacity, so can you let me know if anybody of you have faced a similar issue and what needs to be enabled to get the CPU Util data in EWA report.
Solman version 7.1 SP 08 Managed system infor SAP NW 7.4 SP 05
OS/DB - AIX 6.1/Oracle 11.2.0.4
Also I am not getting the rating for Overal section Database server load from expensive SQL statements, whereas for the table Load from Expensive SQL stsmts I am getting the rating, it is not reflected in the overall rating.
Already checked the note 551646 and no clue related to my issue.
Also for DVM is it necessary to have ST 7.1 SP 12 or higher?
I am not able to get the data for that section too.
Let me know how the data is collected and how to troubleshoot here.
Please help.
How can I enable CCMS monitoring for Business Connecter. Im using 4.7.

Hello All,
I am creating this post after doing lot of analysis and troubleshooting, so I would be really glad if someone could help me share their experience if they did face the same issue.
I have set up CCMS alert for my SAP ERP Server NW 740 by connecting it to Solman 7.1. As both my CEN and SAT have releases beyond 7.0 EhP1 and 7.0 Ehp2, I believe only adding an entry on the CEN using create remote monitoring system entry would do.
I did that and the test results are successful, both RFC and Agent for remote systems shows OK and successful.
But the issue is auto-reaction method runtime status shows as RUN_REQUIRED which means it is waiting for sap cen sys method dispatcher to process the job, the job is running just fine in the solman/000.
However if I try to Start the auto-reaction method manually it just works fine.
Notes which I have gone thru with no help.
1636899 - Setting up CCMS Auto-Reactions, and Analysing Issues
939616 - CCMS auto-reactions: Help with troubleshooting
And also I have one doubt as this CCMS uses host agent I believe there is no need for registering the CCMS agent from SAT to CEN at the OS level?
My remote agent Availability shows 0% in rz20 whereas agent for remote system shows ONLINE in rz21.
Please help...
Hello all,
I'm using SAP Web Dispatcher 7.42 SP 110 for NWBC load balancing.
Configured wdisp/ssl_encrypt=0 and in ERP system HTTPURLLOC pointing to the Web Dispatcher.
It is working as expected but with one big drawback: In sm04/al08 all connections now have the Web Dispatcher IP as 'Terminal'. And even in 'Technical Information' the gui host is empty.
Is there any chance to get these information (IP of the Gui) forwarded into the ERP system? It would be quite complicate to look up these information from Web Dispatcher Administration.
Kind regards,
Alexander
Hi Gurus,
To optimize over all migration time, I am planning to use table splitting using SWPM & parallel export/import using MIGMON.
thing is that I have never used these two options together before.
Can someone who has worked in such scenario provide some details on steps I can follow?
I have few questions around it:
Any special care needs to be taken while using table splitting & parallel export/import together?
how is the data consistency will be handled while import?
table splitting will split the tables in different STR files which will be unloaded parallely, however as soon as a package is exported .SGN file will signal that package for import, if that package is from splitted table, how does it will integrate all the packages for that splitted tables during import?
do we need to worry about it or MIGMON is smart enough to handle it by itself?
source - AIX/DB2 target - linux/DB2.
Best Regards

Hello Folks - often I run into situations (especially when BW is involved) where various users like ALEREMOTE or similar users are getting locked due to too many incorrect logon attempts. If I know from where (could be within the system or some external SAP system) it is that is calling into this system w/ the wrong pwd, I can fix it. But it gets tricky when I don't. I know to scour ST22/SM21 to look for clues but do not think those will give information on which (external) system for sure is calling in and locking the user.
I am aware ST01 gives you opportunity to turn on a trace but not sure that is the best way to solve these situations. Appreciate any tips you can share. Thanks

Hi,
We are required to perform a SAP hardware migration and upgrade oracle database to 11g.
Current environment is a distributed installation with CI and DB on seperate hosts. Both host have the same OS version.
Our landscape consist of ECC 6.0 / PI 7.0 / BW 7.0/ SOLMAN 7.1 . All these instance are on seperate hosts.
Current environemnt:
OS - RHEL 5.4
DB - Oracle 10.2.0.4
DB Hardware - Sun Blade X6240
CI (Application server hardware) - Sun Blade X6240
Desired target environment:
OS - RHEL 5.4
DB - Oracle 11.2.0.3
DB Hardware - HP (model N/A)
CI (Application server hardware) - V-Block (Virtual environment)
I am thinking of the following approach :
1. Homogeneous system copy with DB restore method to setup the target system
2. Upgrade Oracle to 11.2.0.3
3. Setup oracle log shipping from the current producitve environemnt to the newly created target system until cutover.
4. During cutover change the IP and hostname of the newly created target to that of the current production application server.
Is this a good approach ?
Or is there a better way to achieve this ?
Thanks

Hi
Sometimes our system takes a lot of strain from users running long CPU intensive jobs. How does one find out what is the acceptable response time for your Production system e.g. what transaction can I run to check it and how can you determine the response time at peak times for instance to compare it to your baseline/acceptable response time?
Thanks, Adrian

Hi Gurus,
We are currently on SAP Netweaver Portal 7.31, and we have Security Audit Log as per Security Audit Log of the AS Java - System Security - SAP Library
However when we go into the Java Log Viewer http://<host>:<port>/nwa/logs we cannot display the Security Audit Log (security_audit*).
Is there additional configuration to allow Java Log Viewer to display Security Audit Log of AS-JAVA?
Thanks in advance.
