I am trying to install Netweaver Java AS 7.4.  I get the following error when the install process is trying to create the secure store.

An error occurred while processing option SAP NetWeaver 7.4 Support Release 2 > Oracle > SAP Systems > Application Server Java > Standard System > Standard System( Last error reported by the step: Node /tmp/sapinst_instdir/NW740SR2/ORA/INSTALL/STD/install/lib/engine does not exist.). You can now:

• Choose Retry to repeat the current step.
• Choose Log Files to get more information about the error.
• Stop the option and continue later.
• Log files are written to /tmp/sapinst_instdir/NW740SR2/ORA/INSTALL/STD/.

I have checked on the system and the Node /tmp/sapinst_instdir/NW740SR2/ORA/INSTALL/STD/install/lib/engine definitely exists. Not sure which areas to focus on within the logs such as installation log, server.trc, SDTServer.log etc.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Please let me know what kinds of logs or other info is needed to help with troubleshooting.

I am installing it on Windows 7 Professional and followed all the steps I got 1 warning saying that not compatible OS version

in system requirement it says

• Operating System Windows 7 64 bit Professional (unsupported platform for Trial Installation) or Windows Server 2008

So it look like quite unfortunately I am on wrong OS and if I would have been on XP probably it would have gone through.

Is their any way to fix this error message

I did provide the correct user password and the J2EE is up and running. Everything else does work as normal, just the SUM does not want to work. That´s the first time I used SUM as JSPM was disabled.

We are in process of Installation of SAP NW 7.3 Process Integration Production Instance on IBM AIX Machine with Power HA feature.

We are logging in the server via xx.xx.xx.22 IP and doing the installation by selection below SWPM path.

SAP NetWeaver 7.3 >> SAP ASE >> SAP Systems >> Process Integration >> Standard Systems.

We are getting an error while defining FQDN is "Can not resolve host PIPRD2.xyz.com"

Now my query is why it's picking up host name of PIPRD2 instead of PIPRD. Is there any specific script or configuration needs to be done at SAP leave of the installation on Power HA.

Also note that when we are passing "hostname" command on xx.xx.xx.22 server it's showing PIPRD2. We've discussed it with IBM Team who did the Power HA configurations as per then there no issue at OS or Network side. Can you please guide how to process in this situations. Also we are not able to find out any good SAP Standard Guide for this situation. Please let us know if any other information required.

There are 2 instances here, one is CI and other is Dialog instance.

I am a little confused on what basis the users are logged on each instances.

One what basis the message server determines and directs the logon of a perticular user to that perticular instance?

As per my analysis, a report named RSRZLLG0 that provides message server information for load balancing is not scheduled.
Also in SMLG there are 2 groups created for both instances with same group name, and the thresold values for Response time and users are being maintained in each of them.

Also, the CPU Idle time for the central instance is always low (below 30% at times), and I can see more users at the CI than the dialog.

Kindly help me in clearing my doubts.

Before every fax was green with msg number XS073

''The message was successfully sent to FAX=##########@Domain.com. However, no information exists about the delivery to FAX=##########@Domain.com.  There are two reasons for this:

1. 1. No confirmation of receipt was requested in the SAP system for the message.
2. 2. The connected communication system does not support confirmations of receipt.

And I just want to be clear, the faxes are sent properly, so the issue is not about the transmission, it's about the status staying gray instead of green.

I m writing a standalone Java Code and have added following jars to build path :

We have an ABAP AS system set up to redirect to our J2EE AS engine to get a MYSAPSSO2 cookie set and redirect back for access. The ABAP trusts the J2EE server. The MYSAPSSO2 is valid for only the sub domain (example sub1.sub2.domain.com)

It works great except in one case: when there are 2 MYSAPSSO2 cookies.

When users log on to their workstations their homepage is an EP which issues a cookie with a loose domain and no path. (ex: *.domain.com). The ABAP does not trust the EP since the user ID's are different.

Here is the flow:

If a user goes to the home page / EP first and then to the ABAP system for the redirect for the SSO2 cookie; then the J2EE server issues a MYSAPSSO2 cookie and both are sent to the ABAP but only the EP cookie is processed and fails since the EP is not trusted.

If the user just goes to the ABAP system first then is works, the J2EE server issues a MYSAPSSO2 cookie and is obviously processed and SSO works. The user can go to the EP and even back to the ABAP.

It only fails if they visit the EP first.

The processing order is by age; older tickets are processed first, not by domain level.

So, how can we control MYSAPSSO2 processing order on the ABAP side? Does the JSESSIONID have any influence on the J2EE or ABAP, being that the ABAP is not java (uses sap-session)?

Is this a common problem and are there any solutions?
