I wonder if anybody is facing similar issues. I want to implement LSSM (Loadable SAP Support Monitors) into DBACOCKPIT.

As per SAP notes 1314689 and 1299493 this is possible per Excel which does not work for me since I have Excel 2010 and the macros in the excel sheet do not work in Excel 2010 but just in Excel 2007.

So I tried the other way which is described in 1299493 and add an entry to table ORA_FEAT_USED

REMSYS     <Database-ID>

FEATURE    LSSM

IS USED    X

I also tried to left REMSYS blank hoping that system will notice that I was meaning the local database but still no help. I still cant see the Loadable SAP Support Monitors in DBACOCKPIT.

Any ideas?

P.S: We are on SAP_BASIS 701 SP07, so this should not be the problem.

We are using Netweaver 7.3 Java Application Server. We have a requirement to create a video chat application. We have built a prototype that uses 'webrtc' libraries and works on  'ApacheTomact8' server.

We are now wondering if we can migrate this application to work on Netweaver7.3 application sever.

So my doubts are :

1) Is 'Websockets' supported in Netweaver 7.3 ?

2) Is there a way to get the websocket based communication working using netweaver server.

I am facing an issue regarding the SAP LDAP connection. I have configured 'LDAP' and 'LDAPMAP' transaction perfectly. The LDAP server is green with valid logon credentials and password of the user SAP_LDAP created in MS Active directory server (including distinguished name, host-name etc.). Yet while executing the ABAP report RSLDAPSYNC_USER, I am not getting the result I want.

That is, firstly, I cannot see the test user 'SAPSSOTEST1' created in active directory in the concluding screen for the mentioned ABAP report in SE38.

Secondly, when I go to SU01 in the SAP Solution Manager server (also contains the CUA and LDAP server), I cannot see the display of the user. It gives me the message that 'user SAPSSOTEST1 does not exist. Kindly help me out here. Its really urgent for me as this issue has been dragging for quite some time.

Alternative, please suggest me If I should set the parameter ldap/autoregister=1 in default profile?

Also, if there are any settings which need to be maintained in MS Active directory server? This is because I have come across a document in SAP SCN for maintaining entries for SAP server (Solution Manager here) in the MS AD server. I have attached the configuration file where the SAP system entries must be maintained in MS AD server obtained from SAP SCN website. I am not an expert in other Microsoft products except MS SQL server as database in SAP systems.

Please be assured that points will be awarded generously for all who contribute to resolving this issue. I await your inputs and responses as I need to wrap this issue on ASAP basis.

In one ofour SAP system the dialog response time data is missing in ST03 however other Task type such as RFC,SPOOL,AUTOABAP,AUTOCCMS,BACKGROUND etc are visible.

OS COllector job is running fine and collecting all data except DIALOG

Step for issue reproduction :

ST03n > Expert Mode > instance > under workload overview > Task Typne Name ( Here it should show the data/response time for Background,spool,update etc).

Kindly help me to know why it is missing. Screenshot for the same is attached here.

I get sporadically complaints from users, that a transaction takes mniutes to return with the first screen although it ran yesterday for <1000 ms !

It happens from time to time during working days !

Dear Gurus,

We installed SAP NW 7.4 SR1 for java portal. at the phase of deploy java components, it stopped with error " port 50004' aborts with return code 104. Error message is 'undefinedStatus:InitialDescription ".

in deployment log, i found it failed, when applying AJAXRUNTIME05_0.SCA.

i attached the screenshots of the errors. please suggest the possible ways to solve the issue and continue the installation.

at this stage, both SAP and oracle DB is in running only.

Hi Experts,

Post upgrade of BI Portal (from 7.0 to 7.31), some tabs when clicked shows "Java communication error: An unknow error occured during Portal Communication" & "A nested exception occured. Could not execute the function" & "Could not connect to back-end system" errors

Checked default trace and it shows

"com.sapportals.connector.connection.ConnectionFailedException: Connection Failed: A nested exception occurred. Could not initialize physical connection. Connection Failed: A nested exception occurred. Could not initialize physical connection. Connection Failed: A nested exception occurred. Could not create JCO connection. "

Please Help to solve this.

Hello,

We are planning for upgrade of our SAP system from EHP5 to EHP7.

The scope of this upgrade includes DB, OS, and Hardware Upgrade as well.

Considering that we have around 5-6 systems in the landscape and this

whole exercise will take around 8 months, can you let us know the best

practice approach for the SID naming as we will be running the systems

in parallel. Is it alright to have two systems using the same SID's in same

environment or we should have different SID's.

During during local system copy  get ORA-01652: unable to extend temp segment by 128 in tablespace PSAPTEMP(I can see this in system log)

I encountered this during test phase.test client copy finished with status"Ended with errors"

in log display I can see :

I increased PSAPTEMP with a data file by 20000MB ( CE11000 has 9GB in size ).

For productive client copy I have only weekend (so it has to run smoothly). I am affraid if the satus is "Ended with errors" what do I have to do?

I would not like to deletenewly created client increase again psaptemp and start clientcopy(I do not have time)

Hi ,

I am doing a local client copy and is still running . There are a few large tables which have not been copied successfully and is shown under "Warnings and Error". The tables show "Program Cancel (See SM21)". In SM21 , I find the workprocess was disconnected from the database.

Now my questions is , once all the remaining tables complete , will I be given an option to repeat the copy for the failed tables only. The system is 6 TB and it is running for more than 15 days now.

Please suggest.

             I am trying to install CE 7.3 trail version.

When I start the SAP system in Virtual Machine.. getting following error from SAP Web Management Console

host linux could not be resolved.

I change the hosts file in windows system to <IP> sapnwce73 sapnwce73.demo.sap.corp

still the ip address in the hosts file inside the virtual machine has not changed.. getting the same error.

when I try to edit hosts file in vim its denying permission.

any one come across this issue ?

Based on the above error, it seems the URI length is an issue.

I have an issue in updating data in SCM EWM standard table. If i see in transaction code i find data is maintained , but the same

is not updated for few instances and it is blank in SAP standard table .

This is one of the largest tables in our DB, and the table itself was split into 30 packages and all of them were imported successfully.

Since this is a critical table,  we do not want to proceed without creating the index by marking the indexes in the .TSK files with ign and then continuing the DB Import.

Also, we have also updated the Kernel & DBSL to the latest 721_EXT PL 300 and the R3load /R3trans  disp+work etc to the latest 311 PL.

Additional information -

As we were getting the error - Create index with sorted_data was aborted because of row out of order. Primary key of first out of order row is '"400", "SPOOL0000010924", 1, 36' [ similar errors for few other packages ]

As per SAP Note 1836598 - SYB: Heterogenous system copy with target database ASE fails with SQL error 1530 , we already copied the

DDLSYB_LRG.TPL to DDLSYB.TPL in the installation directory. So now this error has also been rectified and now the Import is stared without sort order.

Also , after following this approach also, we continued to get errors only for 2 packages  [ both indexes ]  i.e. SOFFCONT1-post & CMFP-post packages .  We checked the packages and these are 2 indexes were failing, So we chose to mark the .TSK file with the IGN [ignore] option for these packages and proceed with the DB Import and build them once the import is completed.

Is this a viable option / recommended approach ?

We are upgrading our NW BW 7.01 java server to 7.3 and during the Downtime phase of the Installer, while running the Offline Migration, we are getting an error "EP-KM-BC: Unique Constraint Violation error: ORA-000001".  Unknown Object# (12xxxxxx) does not exist. We have one CI and two DI. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

However, I wanted to ask some more questions and share my observations and seek your opinion: -

1. I have observed that this error (attached screenshot) comes when: -

        a.  I open any Web Dynpro java application, (be it Content Admin, User Admin or any of my custom Web Dynpro Java app) and keep it idle for some              30-40 seconds.

        b. And then I click on any link/actionable UI on these idle application.

2. From these threads, I also understand that this is normal behavior as application has expired due to long idle time and session cookie sent to server is invalid. Fair enough.

3. But our end users are not happy to see such error trace page and its causing lot of incidents/complaints.

Is there any way to: -

     A. Make Portal server to accept request coming from such timed-out/idle application?

     B. Replace this error page with something more descent page?

We want to install SAP MII 14.0 hence what all Usage Types will be needed for the same?

In our case DB - MSSQL 2K8 R2 Server.
