I am trying to set the archiving directory full alert and i believe we don't get data for it as the saposcol destination is not working

The host is database plus the ASCS so there is a sap gateway running on this host

SAPXPG_DBDEST_<DBHOST> is working fine

SAPOSCOL_<DBHOST> is setup like this

Activation type: startup on explicit host

program: rfcoscol

Startup type: default gateway value

gateway host : <DBHOST>

gateway service: sapgw00 (00 is the instance number of the ASCS)

Whenever i test the connection it says Partner program fork unsuccessful

P.S saposcol is running inside the sap host agent.

Any ideas here?

I finished the installation of netWeaver 7.0 Trial Version an now I have two problems.

Problem 1:

I tried to solf that via internet search and followed the informations about to start the service in sap manually. That got me to the second problem:

During the Logon onto SAP with the user SAP* and correct password I get the following Error:

          SAP Logon failed:

          Start 'SAPqui' failed

I searched all the directorys and could not find a single file which says SAPGUI. How can I start it? The Server is Runnung.

In the installation instructions it also says that SAP_GUI_for_Windows will be in the Package but I can not find it eather.

Can someone help me?

We are working on NW 7.31, where we are consuming 3rd party web service with username token (for Message Level Authentication) & X.509 client certificate (for Transport Layer Authentication).

The end point URL is configured in SOA Manager in NWA with x.509 certificate.

The username token is sent using HandlerResolver:

While executing the service, we are getting below error message:

Development (client) and Quality (client) in same server and Production Server as different server

( both solution managers are installed on windows 2003 server).

Production Solution Manager is Acting as Domain controller.

I have created transport route like below

DSM (development client 100) -

saved and distributed.

RSTPTEST is Successful.

I have created Trasport request in 100( development client) and made target as 140 (quality client)

and clicked release button, failed with RC=12

By showing below error:

I am experiencing very slow / no response, when I click on the Multiple File Upload function in the Content Administration section on our Portal.  We are using Netweaver 7.3.

I have tried a different O/S on my workstation, different browser, updated to latest version of Java and cleared by cache.  I cannot get it to work.  If I upload single files, that works perfect and quick.  But my multiple function does not open at all.  I click on it and get the "Java extension was blocked" toolbar, which I then allow.  But even after that it still doesnt work.

Anyone experienced this before?

we receive modified urls, e.g. /qua/irj/* or /dev/sap/* from our proxy and have to rewrite and redirect accordingly to the dev or qua backendsystems.

this only works for the dev systems at the moment. the redirection to qa systems doesn't work.

but the web dispatcher directs them to the type-matching system, means ABAP or portal of the dev systems.

so the rewriting works but not the redirection to the richt systems.

means requests to e.g. ABAP qa system B1Q goes to B1D.

A bit of a background on my situation.

I have been tasked with replacing our production SAP BW Netweaver application servers (currently three)

The current production landscape:

    CI: SAP BI 7.3.7 - NW 7.3 --> Kernel: 720_REL 64bit UC PL 201

          OS: AIX 6.1.0.0 DB: Oracle: 11.2

    AS: SAP BI 7.3.7 - NW 7.3 --> Kernel: 720_REL 64bit UC PL 201

          OS: AIX 6.1.0.0

The current development landscape:

    CI: SAP BI 7.3.7 - NW 7.3 --> Kernel: 720_REL 64bit UC PL 201

          OS: AIX 6.1.0.0 DB: Oracle: 11.2

Now I have been asked to replace the AIX application servers with IBM Linux on Power (SLES11SP3). This include Dev/QA/Prod.

So rather than jumping in and join a system to a production setup, I am trying to add an application server to the Development first.

I was originally looking at using the Master installer (51042263_6) which contained the installer for NW 703 and them upgrade the Application servers kernel once the installation is completed. However I have found that this installer requires the Oracles 11.2 client installer. Well, unfortunately Oracle only created a 10.2 client installer for Linux on Power. So that installer was a no go.

So I have been using the older installer (51044357_BS7i2010_IDES). This is having me install NW 702 and I was going to take the same path as before with upgrading the kernel. I was able to supply the Oracle 10.2 package without any problem at this point and I am able to get through the installation parameter inputs successfully. The installation appears to be going well, however it appears when it is trying to connect to the database I get the following error:

Last error reported by the step :Java EE Engine configuration error. DIAGNOSIS: See output of log file batchconfig.log: ' Can not get DB connection. Batchconfig will only be able to execute offline tasks.

Now when I look in this file I only see the "Can not get DB connection. Batchconfig will only be able to execute offline tasks." So this has not clued me to anything. I have check and reran again without any changes.

• I can resolve the hostname for the dev AS to CI and from CI to AS.
• Folder and file permissions are correct.
• SAPLOCALHOST in DEFAULT.PFL is commented out.
• checked the /etc/services and remove all entries that overlap with SAP services.
• Firewall on AS is temporarily turned off.
• r3trans -d returns 0 code so it appears to be able to connect to DB

Now I was able to get the installation to complete to but function properly by using a combination of two techniques:

• ./sapinst SAPINST_SKIP_ERRORSTEP=true
• Modify keydb.xml and change CDATA[ERROR] to CDATA[OK].

I can include sapinst_dev.log (last ~20k lines) if needed.

I am not sure at this point what to try. If anyone has any helpful advice, it would be greatly appreciated.

We have installed Java instance (Netweaver 7.0 SR3) for GRC system and mapped existing ABAP stack(Netweaver 7.31) as backend system. After we configured UME, JAVA instace is not starting up. we have given exact host and user credentials. we have checked in configtools and seems everything is fine.

We start correctly Oracle and Tomcat. We have installed OpenText Archive Server 10.2.1 and the installer finished OK in all components. For these installations we are use the following guide "Opentext Archive Server 10.5.0 Installation on UNIX/LINUX".

But we have the following issues:

I'm planning an EHP6 for SAP ERP 6.0. In the whole landscape there is also NW BW 7.0 and PI 7.0 solutions.

I was checking SAP Note 1043047 that state the following:

"For PI, it is a prerequisite that no other system in the system landscape has a higher release than the PI system”

Do I need to perform PI Upgrade first? I was checking with UDA tool and there's no problem about it (only with EHP7)

I was also checking SAP Note 1388258 that state:

" Application driven software updates:

• Updating or upgrading the application system to SAP Business Suite 7 (e.g. ERP 6.0 Enhancement Package 4 or CRM 7.0) or higher (up to Suite7i2011) does not require to implement an SAP NetWeaver EhP for your central SAP NetWeaver system, if this system has at least release SAP NetWeaver 7.0 SPS 19.
• This rule applies to SAP NetWeaver Portal, SAP NetWeaver Business Warehouse and SAP NetWeaver PI in combination with SAP Business Suite 7, SAP Business Suite 7i2010, and SAP Business Suite 7i2011 with the known limitations as listed in section 3."

There is also an attachment (Adjusted Version Interoperability.pdf) in the same SAP note.  So, does this mean that  PI have to be at least in release 7.0 SP19?

Has anyone tried this scenario?, is there any consideration?

I am performing dual stack split on  BW7.01 system using  MOVE DB method.  I am using the latest SWPM integrated DSS tool.

The export completed successfully. But during Installing Java only system with the export from the  Dual stack Java ,i am getting  below error in the Configure Java Parameters  phase on installing .

Hello all,

I'm having a problem installing a SSL Cert on J2EE that is configured in a High Availability environment.

I've installed several SSL certificates on non-HA servers with no problem... and when I follow those same steps in this environment, I get an error.

When opening Key Storage in Visual Admin I get:

"IAIK Security library not found!"

"java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: iaik/security/provider/IAIK"

I've Un-Deployed and Re-Deployed the Java Crypto SDA w/ no avail.

In Server -> Libraries -> Core_Lib I'm getting a UNC path to the SCS for the iaik_jce.jar file... which I think might be part of the problem.  I've tried various file system permission tweaks with no difference.

Anyone know how to change that path or have a better solution?

We are having Webdynpro ABAP application which is working fine locally but we want to run the application over internet.

I find 3 possible steps from which this is possible suggest.

1. via Apache

2. via SAP Web Dispatcher

3. via EP

1. We tried it from Apache but the view is coming as blank on web.

2. No Idea that it can be possible for Webdynpro ABAP application.

3. We don't want to use EP.

Suggest the solution.

My AS isn't starting anymore, due a corrupted application. "Safe Mode" is also not working, so I need a offline undeployment.

I remember in older versions, it was possible with SDM with telnet, but 7.3 has no SDM, right?

Logs are showing that other objects are being activated, so we don't think is a tp problem.

Preliminary checks by SUM have stated that SPAM and Kernel are sufficient for the upgrade task.

We were wonder: what kind of objects are? Where can we find them insite the NW system?
