heterogeneous system copy is wrong (DBDDLOADDCHECK_XT_IND_ORA)

Hi SAP Experts.

I am migrating a Systema SAP 4.0B kernel 4.0_EXT with plataform AIX 5.3 and database software Oracle 9.2.0.7.

But when I execute the command ./R3SETUP -f CENTRAL.R3S, the process is canceled in the phase DBDDLOADDCHECK_XT_IND_ORA, with the folllowing error in DBMIG.log:

When I execute the following commads with the user devadm, get a correct connection to database DEV:

sqlplus /

sqlplus /@DEV

sqlplus sapr3/sap

 

I applied the notes: 400241, 562863 and 361641 but I get the same error.

 

 

How can I solve the problem?.

Writing to Job Log affects performance?

Hello there,

 

I have a job that consumes seconds of time during system messages to fill the log job.

 

Case:

 

If sy-batch = 'X'.

 

write message s398(00) with 'Hello 1' sy-uzeit.

endif.

 

If sy-batch = 'X'.

 

write message s398(00) with 'Hello 2' sy-uzeit.

endif.

 

 

In the log job I see:

 

date1 00:00:04 Hello1 00:00:01

date1 00:00:04 Hello2 00:00:03

 

 

For me it seems weird that it takes 2 seconds (or more in some cases), to write two messages that are consecutive.

 

Any thoughts about this?

System Copy non Unicode with Software Provisioning Manger, wrong kernel-dvd

Hi Experts,

 

we are facing the following problem, during a non-Unicode Systemcopy of an NW70EHP2 Abap System.

The System has been upgraded to SAP NW70EHP2 as Non-Unicode.

We want to perform a homogeneous system copy on Windwos - MSSQL with Backup/Restore to build up a Testsystem.

 

the Problem is: after delselect the Option for "Unicode System" in SPM (1.0SP06) (Lifesycle Option/Systemcopy/....) it asket later for the Unicode Kernel DVD, but as we perfom a system copy for non unicode system.

Systemcopy it must be the Non-Unicode kernel DVD!

We use the kernel-DVD mentioned by OSS-Note:1680045 Kernel:51045213_3 Non-Unicode X86

Any suggestion how we can solve this issue, pls ;-)?

Can i install solution manager 7.1 and Netweaver 7.0 on same Local Host Machine ?

All installation where performed on local stand alone host. Earlier in this machine all 6 central instances were up and green. Then to install solution manager 7.1 on same host machine i had to update oracle 10.2.0.2 to 10.2.0.4. Now problem starts all 6 instances gone down but solution manager 7.1 up and green.

 

I have sufficient memory in this machine. 

Operating system - windows server 2003 enterprise edition.

Hi All,

 

We are working on SAML based SSO Configuration between NON-SAP Portal (Identity Provider - IBM Tivoli Federated Identity Manager ) with SAP Portal 7.3 (SP08) System (Service Provider).

 

The identity provider is IBM Tivoli Federated Identity Manager. Identity provider & service provider are in different domains.

 

We have completed all the required configuration steps. When client is trying to test the SSO using Chrome browser they are able to land in our portal successfully.

 

However when they are trying the same thing using IE browser they are getting error as 500 Internal Server Error

 

Error: Service Provider Could not redirect to application url because of configuration error.

 

When Checkd the tshw logs

 

Content type of the received HTTP request is: null

Extracted RelayState parameter is: null

Service Provider ACS endpoint has no default entrance location configured.

500 Internal Server Error is returned for HTTP request [https://xxx.com/saml2/sp/acs]:

  component [AssertionConsumerService],

  web module [saml2/sp],

  application [sap.com/saml2_sp],

  DC name [],

  CSN component[],

  problem categorization [],

  internal categorization [1096211868].

 

Please help

Webdispatcher Cannot Started: WebService Error 21 Server Execution Failed

Hi SAP Experts,

 

I have problem with my webdispatcher. It begin from my webdispatcher node disappeared suddenly from SAP MMC.

i checked in services.msc SAP<SID>_00 cannot to be started. The screenshot of error like below:

I have added the service using sapstartsrv.exe.

When i tried to start from SAP MMC, the error message appears like picture below:

There is no error recorded in sapstartsrv.log.

 

Please give me suggestion to solved this problem. Let me know if you need another information for help to investigate this problem.

Monitoring resources for 25 app server

We have production server with 25 app server.Yesterday we had performance issue where all users have complained system is running slow and i have to monitor the hardware resource utlization.I know about /sdf/mon but this report provides the data of all servers when you deactivate the monitoring.

 

Please suggest the practices you follow to monitor app servers resources like cpu,memory etc.

background job cancellation

Please excuse me if this is silly question.

 

I some times get request to cancel the background job using SM37 and job does not get cancelled using SM37.The other option i do is to find out work process and cancel the work process to kill the job.

 

I understand when background job is running the job will update the database,when i cancel the work process which is running the background job ,how does the database handle all changes done by the job .

SAP NetWeaver AS ABAP 7.4 SP03 on SAP HANA - no Port except 22 (SSH)

Hi,

 

I've installed the SAP NetWeaver Application Server ABAP 7.4 SP03 on SAP HANA via the SAP Cloud Appliance Library on a Public EC2 on AWS.

I just want to acces the Server to play arround a bit with the ADT.

I disabled the firewall on the server an opened all needed ports in the AWS (22,3200,..,50000,50001,and the HANA Ports)

As it seems the Port 22 is the only on that is available (Any other connection attempt but ssh fails and a Port-scan on the corresponding IP supports my assumption)

The IP is: 54.242.102.136

What can I do to be able to work with the server? A SAP GUI - connection would be a good start.

(The Server is not in a VPC, so I guess I don't need a VPN-tunnel, right?)

(And YES, I am new to SAP...)

Hi,

 

When I am trying to create a new Client Proxy from the WSDL URL, I am getting the above error.

 

What the problem is like ???

 

Is it some problem with the configuration of the HTTPS in the sap system.

 

 

 

I am using the Client sap system through VPN, or is it a problem with the VPN configuration of something like that?

 

Any  reply would be appreciated..

Communication error while creating proxy for Service consumer

Hi All,

 

I have requirement to access an external WebService (HTTPS url). When I am trying to create the proxy for "service consumer" in SE80 I am getting the below error:

Exception occurred in communication framework:Error in HTTP Framework: 0https://mwb2b-dev-int.pb.com/CommonInterface/Payment-1.1?wsdl

 

 

Please let me know if there are any settings which we are missing.

 

NOTE: This is the first time which we are using the Webservices in our project, so I am assuming that we have missed some settings which is essential for this web service call.

 

Need your urgent help here.

Unable to print for multiple line items

Hi All,

 

There is a Z T-code ZPP07 in which we are trying to give print for line items. When I try to give for one line item I could able to get print successfully where as when I try to print for multiple line items I'm not getting print out but spool and out requested generated.

 

Where could be the issue and what kind of steps I can look into.

 

 

Please let us know the resolution.

Hi all,

 

Is there any tracing tool in NW AS JAVA similar to ST01 in ABAP for getting detailed log for authorization check?

 

Actually we are migrating one of our PI landscape which is on NW 7.00 (AS ABAP + JAVA) to NW PI AEX 7.31 SP09(AS JAVA). There some system users which are used for message processing.

 

I am having trouble finding the appropriate roles for these users in AS JAVA and as a temporary solution I have attached more roles than actually required.

 

I have also gone through the security guide of NW 7.31 PI AEX but still I am not able to identify the exact roles required.

 

Kindly help!!

Log Viewer Issue, Create CSS Ticket.

Hi NW Experts,

 

I am facing the too Many problems in our SRM Portal.

We have : EHP2 FOR SAP SRM 7.0

OS : Windows Server 2008 R2

DB : DB2 10.01.0002

 

When I reach to Troubleshooting -> logs and traces -> Log viewer in nwa

It gives me the following error.

Connection refused this error gives only when I login with user : j2ee_adm_(instance name)

 

 

 

But when I login with another user it shows me following error..

I have checked the roles and profiles of both users, but they are same.

 

 

 

 

But my main problem is Log Viewer is not working,

So To resolve this I reach to http://<host name>:5<port number>13

But it gives me an following error.

I have also checked the note 1593532 - Logviewer in NWA doesnt work

But when I enter the command (sapcontrol -nr <inst_no> -function ListLogFiles > LF.txt) from <sid>adm as well as from administrator user still it gives the following output in LF file....

FAIL: HTTP error, HTTP/1.1 401 Unauthorized

 

 

Default Profile parameter is set to paservice/protectedwebmethods = DEFAULT instead of SDEFAULT.

changed password of TMSADM/have to enter password of current user a few times on PRD on MScluster

Hello

 

We have a three system landsape (DEV; QAS and PRD).PRD consists of an MS cluster.

I have changed password of TMSADM user (on all systems) according to EWA report.

I have an issue now when trying to enter the PRD import queue. Namely (only on PRD) I have to enter password of current user a few times.

What could be the reason

J2EE_GUEST deleted in BW portal

Hello ,

 

User J2EE_GUEST user has been deleted in BW portal.BI Admin who did this was  not sure the impact of this on the accessing the BW portal .

 

Now we are not able to access the BW portal by URL:

<http|https>://<j2ee_server>:<j2ee_port>/irj

 

Also we are getting this:

 

 

 

Can some one suggest how to fix this issues?

sap log drive full

Hi,

 

Can I follow the procedure below even if my sap log drive is full? I tried it the first time before when the log drive is full, I detach the database and got error that the detach was not successful since a drive is full.

My issue is I am facing an sap log drive full and did a shrink but does not change the file space after. I tried thrice the shrinking, and the available free space in SQL becomes low every time I do a shrink and still  in 0%.
