Hostname is wrong in sm51

Hello,

I find myself stuck on the following problem:

I'm trying to patch a solution manager 7.02 from sp08 to sp12.
This system is setup up with multiple application servers.
Windows & MSS

Per standard, we're using logical hostnames, type sapSID1-2-3-4

Even so, the real hostnames are psSIDxxxxx.

While patching, SUM requires that we revert back to the psSIDxxxx hostnames,
it can't seem to detect the logical hostnames correctly. (SUM 1.0 SP11_10 by the way).

I've made all these changes, but my CI app server, where SUM should run, is not fully cooperating.

After restart of the system, in SAP MMC, I see all application servers with their correct hostname.

But in SM51, my CI still shows sapSID1 as hostname.

What I've tried:

- I've checked the environment variables (explicitly set to psSIDxxxx)

- the rest of the registry

- the hosts/lmhosts (empty)

- Niping resolution. (correct)
- SM21 shows the correct name for this server
- ST22 no dumps are occuring

- SAPLOCALHOST & SAPLOCALHOSTFULL are explicitly set to psSIDxxxx

- search through the whole profile directory for any other mentions of sapSID1 (only found commented entries)

- restarted the app server (& the sapstartsrv service) at least 3 times now.

Finally, a search of all the files in the work directory shows at ICM level that sapSID1 is still being used, but for the life of me I can't figure out where this is set or kept. A logon to the message-server itself only confirms what you see in SM51

Is there anybody here who can tell me what I forgot ? I'm out of ideas at this point
