I am trying to deploy identity management developer studio service. To do so, I have to start SUM and then start deploying the service. I get the attached error. I have given correct local host name and the port as well, but still i get the same error.

To optimize over all migration time, I am planning to use table splitting using SWPM & parallel export/import using MIGMON.
thing is that I have never used these two options together before.
Can someone who has worked in such scenario provide some details on steps I can follow?
I have few questions around it:
Any special care needs to be taken while using table splitting & parallel export/import together?
how is the data consistency will be handled while import?
table splitting will split the tables in different STR files which will be unloaded parallely, however as soon as a package is exported .SGN file will signal that package for import, if that package is from splitted table, how does it will integrate all the packages for that splitted tables during import?
do we need to worry about it or MIGMON is smart enough to handle it by itself?

Dear Gurus,
We are facing the below issue when performing a homogeneous system copy of NW 7.0 system using backup/restore method for DB6 system.
We went through the SAP Note http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/2049842, and followed the same but no luck.
We updated the Kernel to the latest, but still no luck.
Request for your quick help as we have to complete it by EOD today.

Hi Folks,
I am unable to proceed with the implementation of OSS note thru snote, I mean the automatic code corrections.
My NW release is 740 SP05.
I am able to download the note but then implementation of note just keeps running.
Download done, select note and Implement- check side effects done - then there it just hangs.
I have checked the RFC's SAPOSS/SAPSNOTE the connection and auth test are working fine.
I tried to apply the OSS Note too 1668882 - Note Assistant: Important notes for SAP_BASIS 730,731,740, even that is hanging now.
So I exited the transaction, changes the processing status of notes from In processing to New to begin again.
Again when I select and Implement it just hangs, please help me..
This is happening in Dev system alone, in QA I am able to download and start the implementation of same OSS note.
Any thots here?

Please suggest me to resolve the problem . I try to update my ERP system using SUM and i faced with error:

I know that the password of sapsiduser is correct.
Our solution manager is out of order.
I don't know what happend, but it seems the connection from solutionmanager to sap router is failing?
Nothing has changed on systems as far as i know!

We have the requirement to perform system refresh from Dev to sandbox PI system (NW7.0). The dev system is in Central system (Application and DB is in same host).I have performed the source system export in DEV system (Database and Central system export ). Please let me know the procedure for doing target system import in sandbox system. sandbox system already available with FSS system id. Please clear my doubt has to uninstall whole sandbox system using sapinst and reinstall with same system id (FSS) using target system import procedure using. Please confirm. Otherwise let me know the different procedure.

Yesterday we got an error while reconfiguring STMS. We were getting RFC_MODIFY_R3_DESTINATION error for TMS self RFC. Everything tried, like reconfiguring STMS with SAP_ALL user, assign SAP_ALL profile to TMSADM but nothing help. Finally we got solution “1730407 - Internal error in TMS communication 5”. In systems SAP note # 1640531 was applied but SAP note # 2132461 was not applied in any of the systems. So finally we applied SAP note # 2132461 in all affected systems and issue resolved.
So if you get similar issue please verify if SAP note # 1640531 is applied if yes then check for SAP note # 2132461.

I have an issue with a RFC Destination, since the certificate was changed (on server side).
When I press "Connection Test" I get the following message:
We have already uploaded the new certificate in transaction STRUST and still getting the same error.
I have noticed that the algorithm changed from SHA-1 to SHA-256.
Therefore I checked the SAPCRYPTOLIB version:

Also HTTPS is enabled in Services in transaction SMICM:
Also I spoke to the guys from the networking and they said that SSLv3 communication isn't blocked and the systems are allowed to connect to the internet. They are sure that the problem is not network related.
I have no clue what to do now.

My SAP Netweaver 7.3 ABAP trail was working fine from last 8 months, today I enabled WEB dynpro services and restarted instance and it worked fine. I was using developing and testing web dynpro apps and when I came across that IE 11 isn't fully compatible with webdynpro so I downgraded to IE 8 and restarted system, and now after restart the dispatcher turns yellow after being green for a half minute.

Hello,
we've got a systemlandscape with several BI systems. Each has an ABAP and an correspondig JAVA system.
The systems were on Basis NW 7.02 and we used CTS+ for Portal Content without problems.
In the last weeks we did an upgrade for some of the systems and now we get problems with CTS+ import in the testsystem.
We could create in our development portal a transport package and put portal content into the package.
When we export the package, a transport request is created and after release the transport, it is put to the queue of the test system. Everyfine until here.
For the test system an automatically import is scheduled.
The import of the transport now crashes with RC =12.
It stops in step "Deployment" with this message:

We refreshed several times the SDM password for this system via stms.
We also deleted the system from TMS configuration and generated it new.
